What I love most about Gemma is that there are new challenges every day. My job stays far from routine and that keeps me motivated to come into work every morning. Every day I learn more and more and always leave work feeling proud of what I’ve achieved.

What I thought would initially be temporary work quickly developed into a meaningful career. Within a short time of starting at Gemma, I was able to advance into a new role and continued to grow from there. Today, I’m a Director and have the opportunity to learn the business from a new perspective.

When I started at Gemma, I felt like I wanted to spend all day at work! I loved the work environment and really appreciated the sense of equality and respect Gemma showed its employees. Working here has helped me gain more confidence in myself and my abilities.

I’m continuously aiming to excel my theoretical knowledge and recently completed my MBA. Gemma has always supported my dedication to personal growth and has presented me with many opportunities for career advancement. It’s the continuous opportunities to further my career - and the new challenges those roles bring - that motivate me.

Gemma provided me with my first job in Canada and has helped me transition into the Canadian way of living. They see the value and abilities within the immigrated community and help the community to progress and succeed while learning about Canada and its values.

I consider myself to be people-oriented and thoroughly enjoy serving our customers.I always go above and beyond to help a customer and continuously aim to provide a superior level of service. It’s easy to stay motivated at Gemma because there’s something new to learn every day and never a dull moment. I’m a driven individual and Gemma helps satisfy my personal goals.

I’ve never seen a challenge I didn’t want to meet, including the opportunity to compete for a spot on Canada’s Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling team at the Sydney Olympics. I didn’t qualify, but the experience taught me how to be resilient, focused, and detail-oriented. Today, I apply these lessons to my work at Gemma. They continue to push and motivate me and have played a large part in my success and career advancement.

What I love most about working for Gemma is that no two days are ever the same. It’s an always changing, fast-paced environment that works to constantly provide the best solutions for our clients and customers. Gemma has given me the opportunity to work on numerous campaigns and to progress through the ranks from Agent to Program Manager, giving me the foundation to achieve my goal of having a stable, successful career.

I’m highly competitive and love working in a target-driven environment. I’m motivated by always trying to achieve better results and love to help my team surpass their goals. Gemma has great team spirit and encourages its agents to see how far they can go within the company. The sky’s the limit!

I got my start in the insurance industry more than 10 years ago after switching from a career in funeral services. In the funeral industry, people would ask me how to file claims after a loved one passed away, but there wasn’t much I could do to help them. So, I decided to become a licensed agent, and I’m now licensed in every province. Gemma has helped me advance my knowledge and skills, increasing my value as an employee.

Working at Gemma is great because I feel like my work is valued and that I am trusted to do my job. I love that I’m able to feel like I’m contributing to the overall success of the organization. It’s easy to stay motivated in this type of environment, which in turn makes it easy to succeed!

I believe that a successful team depends on its leader to tell them where they’re going, why they’re going and how they’re going to get there. At Gemma, we have great management to lead us. They value their people and provide us with great opportunities. Gemma isn’t only my job – it’s my family.

The customer always comes first. When I’m able to satisfy our customers and answer their questions, it gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
